JNA Show Daily – Jun 2017

Thank you for joining us at this year’s June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the June Fair expects more than 25,000 local and overseas buyers in the jewellery industry to visit this important annual sourcing event.

On this landmark occasion, the CORE Pavilion has been launched, adding to the exciting line-up of attractions and business opportunities. This new CORE pavilion is a dedicated area for jewellery companies that have supported the jewellery and gem fairs in Hong Kong over the years and consider Hong Kong as the platform from which they grow their business. Some of Hong Kong’s finest jewellery are showcased at the pavilion. Key themes such as the Fine Design Pavilion/Fine Gem Pavilion (FDP/FGP) have proven to be crowd-pleasers at the June Fair for many years since their launch. This year, the FDP/FGP gathers over 70 renowned exhibitors from around the world. These esteemed companies bring you the opportunity to see up close some of the world’s finest jewellery, top-quality loose diamonds, coloured gemstones, pearls, invaluable antique and estate jewellery, and other exclusive one-offs.

A standout among the speciality theme pavilions is the Diamond Pavilion, which features 420 exhibitors. It remains one of the largest diamond pavilions in the world. The June Fair also features 18 group pavilions from various countries, including India, one of the largest jewellery markets in the Asia Pacific.

Following the successful launch of the “Declaration Programme on Exhibits of Natural Diamond” scheme at last year’s September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, we are introducing the scheme at this edition of the June Fair. The programme acknowledges members of recognised diamond trade associations who make a declaration that they supply and exhibit only natural diamonds during the fair. Each of these diamond exhibitors will display in their booths the official poster issued by UBM Asia that identifies them as natural diamond suppliers. This scheme is certainly a winning proposition for both diamond exhibitors and buyers.

Visitors not only have the opportunity to source a wide range of jewellery and related products from global suppliers but also learn from dynamic speakers at knowledge seminars throughout the fair. It is our honour to have as seminar organisers the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), GRS Lab (HK) Ltd, The Gemmological Association of Hong Kong (GAHK), and the Japan Pearl Promotion Society. A number of renowned industry experts will provide insight-provoking discussions on industry innovations, premier market research and the future of the jewellery industry in a series
of seminars throughout the fair. I am certain you will value opportunities to learn and network at these events.

Again, thank you for your continued support. I wish you a fruitful visit and an enjoyable stay in Hong Kong.
