Fine jeweller Picchiotti Srl is once again out to enchant buyers at the September Hong Kong Fair with its illustrious diamond and coloured gemstone collections.
One of the most influential names in Italy’s jewellery manufacturing sector, Picchiotti is placing the L’Anfiteatro ring in the limelight. The piece was designed by Giuseppe Picchiotti to celebrate the jeweller’s 50th anniversary.
Founded in Valenza in 1967, the family-run enterprise specialises in handmade jewellery embellished with diamonds and coloured gemstones in timeless and well-loved designs.
“To mark this milestone, Giuseppe wanted to create a jewel that captures the essence of the Picchiotti style and craftsmanship. Exuberant yet sublime, the ring was inspired by a classical amphitheatre,” revealed the company.
At the centre of the ring is a no-heat ruby of 8.05 carats, enveloped by sparkling, top-quality diamonds.
Picchiotti said it is on the lookout for retailers who are interested in representing Picchiotti in Southeast Asia as a brand. It is also eyeing distributors.
Since its inception, the distinctive Picchiotti style has been guided by a mix of classic and modern designs using premium-quality coloured gemstones and diamonds, the company said. “Today, 50 years later, Picchiotti remains true to its classical roots and to the original values of design codes and inspirations that, year after year, are continually renewed through artistry, improved crafting skills and advanced revolutionary technology,” it added. “The 2017 Collection is a tribute to Picchiotti’s glorious past and a celebration of the beginning of the next 50 years.”
